Patricia is a student at UCSC who has a passion for art and digital media. She enjoys documenting nature, specifically wildlife in Santa Cruz County. In her spare time Patricia eats the film strips abandoned at Bay Photo. If you have questions about digital art or the occult she may have answers on both.

Julie 1200.jpg

Lab Tech

Julie first fell in love with photography in a black & white darkroom; when an image first began to appear in the developer bath. She began her photographic education at age 16, in the Aptos High darkroom. Julie went on to earn an Associates Degree in Art Photography, with an emphasis on traditional & alternative processes. Her favorite photographic outlet is the 19th century process of cyanotype. Blending her love of nature & portraiture, Julie eventually began photographing weddings. She's been doing photography for 13 years now. When Julie isn't at the retail stores, she's working toward a degree in Nursing.

Social Media

Captivated by film photography and the sea, Lauren spends most of her present days figuring out the underwater photography scene. Her artistic style is heavily influenced by dream-like blurs, grain, grit, and the way that good music makes her feel.

Kelly 1200.jpg

Retail Stores Inventory Lead

Kelly started her photographic journey by taking photo classes at Cabrillo College and working at Bay Photo in the early 2000s. She loved to take experimental photos of models covered in various food stuffs, or take long night exposures, as well as the occasional landscape. After a long hiatus to raise her daughter, she returned to Bay Photo to work in inventory and as a film technician.

Anthony is a student at UCSC with a huge passion for photography of all kinds. He shoots both digital and film photography, and develops his own black and white film. He started his photography journey by just going on night walks with his phone, and it has evolved into taking any one of his many film cameras with him whenever he goes out because there is always a great photo hiding around the corner. If you ever see him out in Santa Cruz taking photos, be sure to stop and say hi; you might even get a free portrait!
