Slide Scanning

General Information:
​
•Choose between Auto and Custom Scans.
​
•Auto Scan pricing ($1/ea) only applies to 35mm slides in
cardboard or plastic mounts. All other slide formats must be
Custom Scans ($8/ea).
​
•Auto scans will not be scanned in order and must be
provided to us loose or in stacks. We do not accept slides in carousels or sleeve pages.
​
•Custom scans can be scanned in order by request.
​
•You can include both Auto and Custom Scans in one order,
clearly mark which slides need which service.
​
•Auto Scans have a light auto correction applied but are
otherwise untouched. Custom Scans include professional
color correction and dust spotting to clean up faded slides.
​
•If you intend to make very large prints from slides, please
contact us for information about the best scanning option for
your project.
​
•Scan files will be delivered via digital download unless
otherwise instructed.
​
Shipping Tips:
​
Small slide scan orders can be placed in envelopes and packaged within a sturdy mailer. Larger orders should be packaged in boxes with slides in rubber banded stacks or otherwise kept from being loose in the box. Always use a trackable shipping service and double check all parts of your order before sending it off.

Small Print Scanning
​
General Information:
​
•For scanning photo prints 8.5x11" or smaller.
​
•Choose between Auto and Custom Scans.
​
•Auto scans will not be scanned in order and must be
provided to us loose. We do not accept auto scan orders of prints within album pages or other sleeving/pages.
​
•Custom scans can be scanned in order by request.
​
•Due to the nature of the Auto scanning equipment, any print
that is mounted on cardboard, mat, or other thick mounting
board must be Custom Scanned. Any mounted prints sent to
us in auto scan orders will be separated out and billed as
Custom Scans.
​
•You can include both Auto and Custom Scans in one order,
clearly mark which slides need which service.
​
•Auto scans do not include any color correction. Choose
Custom Scans for professionally color corrected images.
​
•Scan files will be delivered via digital download unless
otherwise instructed.

New to sending orders?
​
USPS has flat rate boxes that are great for making sure your orders get to us safely. Just grab whichever size you need at the post office, pack up your order, and bring it back to the post office and ship it off.
Large Print/Document Scanning
​
General Information:
​
•Chose this service for scanning large prints or documents beyond 8.5x11". For artwork scanning and reproduction, see our Art Services Page.
​
•This service can be used to scan whole pages of large albums or other situations where individual photos cannot be removed for scanning.
•Originals are photographed on a copy stand in our reproduction studio to create digital files for you.
​
•Professional color correction is included.
​
•Scan files will be delivered via digital download unless otherwise instructed.

Shipping Tips:
​
Since large prints and documents come in a wide variety of sizes, the best packing method will depend on what type of original you are sending us. For loose prints or paper documents that can be rolled, sending your order in a tube is the best way to ensure that your order arrives safely. Documents around 11x14" in size can also be packed flat in a sturdy mailer. For books or other objects, pack securely in a box.
